In summer 2025, Immerse Education’s Architecture & Design students will return to the Building Centre for an exclusive industry visit and workshop, deepening their understanding of the social impact of the built environment. This collaboration between Immerse Education and the Built Environment Trust will provide aspiring architects with hands-on exposure to organisations and experts who are shaping the built environment - all whilst still in high school.
A Career Insights Course with Real-World Impact
Immerse’s Career Insights courses are designed for students ready to move beyond academic exploration and into industry application. These programmes offer an insider’s look at career pathways, combining in-depth, expert-led classroom sessions with site visits to organisations at the forefront of their fields. Over two weeks, participants experience a dynamic blend of project-based learning, skill-building workshops, and exclusive industry access.
For Architecture & Design students, this means delving into topics like urban planning, sustainable design, and technical architecture and picking up hard and soft skills crucial for success in the field. Guided by experienced career tutors and industry professionals, students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world practice.

At the heart of Immerse Education’s Architecture & Design programmes is a visit to the Built Environment Trust. During their visit, students will enjoy a dedicated session on sustainable materials, led by the Built Environment Trust team. This session will introduce them to cutting-edge materials revolutionising the field, offering insights into how architects and engineers are rethinking sustainability in the built environment.
The visit to the Building Centre introduces students to a building that has innovation at its very heart. After a session with industry professionals gaining insights into the social impact of the built environment, students will develop a deep understanding of how their future careers could shape and influence the world around them.
