Garador’s innovative social media campaign to raise money for charity has proved an outstanding success.
In the run up to Christmas, Britain’s leading garage door manufacturer wanted to raise money for the major charity Crisis which helps homeless people and asked their nationwide network of garage door installers to send through pictures of their recent installations. For each picture it shared on social media, a £10 donation was made to Crisis.
“We were absolutely thrilled by the response from our network of stockists and installers. Thanks to their wonderful generosity, we have raised £300 for homeless charity Crisis.” said Garador’s Managing Director, Neil Discombe.
The pictures sent in also showed the huge range of garage doors now being installed across the country. The continued popularity of Garador up & over and sectional garage doors was quite apparent, with a variety of shots showing their versatility in terms of designs, sizes, materials and colours. Whilst white is still a favourite amongst homeowners, it is interesting to see how Britain is beginning to colour up its residential areas.
Neil continues “We loved how the pictures showed the breadth of colours and materials we offer, with naturally beautiful timber doors, but also more striking steel door colours like Anthracite Grey and Chartwell Green.”
Windows in garages also featured strongly, a trend probably enhanced by people now using garages for storage, exercise and even home offices, as homeowners seek to personalise their door to suit their requirements.
With homelessness continuing to rise in the UK, Crisis perform a vital role in supporting homeless people. They provide education, employment, housing and well-being services and work side-by-side with thousands of people to help them leave behind homelessness. The team at Garador were pleased to support such a worthwhile cause.
