“This trial is in line with our policy of building all our homes to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3,” explains Andy Harrington, Technical Director for Taylor Wimpey East London.
Taylor Wimpey is known for its commitment to a good environmental performance: “We are constantly seeking to improve the sustainability of the homes that we build in the UK,” adds Andy.
“High performance insulation is a good way to achieve that, so naturally we were interested to trial Jablite’s new insulation to see how it performs. Energy efficiency is very important to home owners, not just because of rising costs, but there is a genuine appetite for homes that are built for sustainable living.”
Jablite’s Dynamic Cavity insulation promises to deliver a U-value of 0.17W/m²K in a 100mm cavity. This is substantially better than standard, premium blown bead in a 100mm cavity, which offers a U-value of 0.25W/m²K. An additional benefit that comes with Jablite Dynamic Insulation is improved air quality because of the inbuilt ventilation system
“So far we are very pleased with the ease of installation and the fact that if offers an option in our standard 100mm cavity new builds. A well-insulated house is a comfortable, snug home and that is important in our climate,” adds Andy Harrington.
Jablite’s Sales & Marketing Director, David Teasdale is very satisfied that Taylor Wimpey, a house builder with a great reputation has decided to give Jablite Dynamic Cavity insulation a try.
“We could not be more pleased to be working with a company like Taylor Wimpey and we hope that our innovative insulation can help them to deliver their own demanding sustainability targets.
“It would be great to be developing more new products in partnership with Taylor Wimpey in the future!”
