Project details:
A new addition to the London skyline is the impressively tall and slender Heron Tower. The building has been awarded green building status and a BREEAM rating of Excellent.
The 46 storey tower will be the City’s tallest at 202 metre (as of Jan 2011) in height with a 30 metre mast. It is located on an island site in Bishopsgate in the heart of the City of London.
Lytag® lightweight aggregate was used in the concrete in the structure for weight reduction on the steel decking. Over 6000m3 of LC35/38 concrete with Lytag® LWA 4/14mm was used.
