The previous façade of the building at Carbrook House in Attercliffe was completely replaced with a new glazed façade and aluminium faced panels which were powder coated in silver and blue by Panel Systems to complement South Yorkshire Police’s corporate colours. The Aluglaze panels were insulated with Styrofoam to achieve a U value exceeding 1.0 W/m2K, with over 550 panels supplied in total.
The new façade not only enhances the aesthetics of the building but the insulated panels also help to reduce the building's energy consumption and carbon footprint. This is due to the panel's insulating foam core. Panels can be supplied in different thicknesses to achieve U values as low as 0.15 W/m2K.
Danny Phelan, Sales Manager at Panel Systems, said: “The panels have given this building a contemporary aesthetic that reflects the modern image of South Yorkshire Police. The insulating Styrofoam core ensures excellent thermal performance and the panels were manufactured specifically to ensure a high level of energy efficiency for the building."
A premium quality panel, Aluglaze is typically specified when aesthetic considerations are paramount and is available in all Interpon D, Syntha Pulvin & Anodised colours. A PPC coating was applied to the panels produced for South Yorkshire Police to give a prolonged life span for the colour finish, ensuring that the building retains its striking aesthetics for years to come.
Panel Systems’ bespoke service means that Aluglaze can be designed for specific glazing systems, to meet the required performance criteria.
Aluglaze panels from Panel Systems have been supplied to a wide variety of commercial, educational and healthcare environments and they are renowned for their aesthetics and performance.
