Caroline Palfy, CEO of the HoHo Wien is happy to announce the official “Go” for the construction of the skyscraper at this year’s Expo Real, the biggest trade fair for real estate and investments in Europe, which is held October 5-7 in Munich. There are no more official administrative obstacles in the way of the start of construction in spring 2016. Palfy emphasizes: “From the very start the concept for the HoHo Wien was developed in close coordination with the authorities in charge. Now, all the formal requirements are by”.

The preparations for the realization of the worldwide highest wooden skyscraper in hybridconstruction have been running for months in full swing. In the negotiations with construction companies, Palfy pays special attention to wood suppliers. The high number of those prospected shows that the wooden skyscraper, as well as the marketing idea behind is very promising. “We are already in talks with potential tenants from large hotel operators to the smallest entrepreneur who lives in Seestadt”, Palfy explains. “Names of the future partners and tenants will be revealed only during the construction phase.”

True to the principle: Everything under one roof

Until 2018 the Hoho Wien, a 84 metre high skyscraper in hybrid-construction shall emerge on roughly 4.000 square metres plot area in aspern Die Seestadt Wiens. Extended on 24 floors are commercial spaces for restaurants, health, beauty, wellness and business entrepreneurs as well as a hotel and serviced apartments, which are based on the eastern element doctrine and merge with the primary matters of wood, fire, earth, metal, water air and vacancy. Approximately 60 million Euros are being invested into the lighthouse project. Caroline Palfy, CEO of cetus Baudevelopment GmbH is leading conceptualizing the worldwide first 24-storey skyscraper in wooden construction.
