Going against the grain – Hamilton’s Wood collection

News

Although more typically known for its comprehensive range of metal switch plates and sockets, decorative electrical wiring accessory manufacturer Hamilton Litestat is proving that the natural look can sometimes be best.

Hamilton’s Woods collection is an elegantly styled range of natural wood switch plates and sockets, designed to provide a stylish finishing touch, whether in a contemporary barn conversion, rustic cottage or classic period property. Available in a selection of finishes including dark, medium and light oak, and antique mahogany, the plates are hand-finished at Hamilton’s Wiltshire headquarters, ensuring quality of manufacture at every stage. Customers have the choice of two edging designs: the clean, simple Woods Chamfered or the more detailed Woods Ovolo, both of which can be matched with any of Hamilton’s switch or socket inserts in a variety of metal finishes from satin steel to antique brass.

“With the popularity of barn conversions and restoration projects we’re really seeing demand for our Woods collection grow,” commented Ian Hamilton, managing director. “The beauty of the Woods range is that it comes from a sustainable raw material which is an increasingly important factor for many people. Yet wanting to be ‘green’ doesn’t limit you in terms of choice or style because by choosing a particular wood stain or type of insert you can create any look you want from traditional to contemporary.”
