December 2008, over 300 UniLED Handrail Lights were deployed through out the Galleries Shopping Centre in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne as part of their expansion project. They were used to light up walk ways and car parks through out the centre creating safety for all pedestrians.

Unlike other handrail lights, the light is uniquely versatile in that it can be fitted to many different sizes and shapes. Already accommodating a round tube, sizes from 50mm to 60mm in diameter, it can also fit into a square or oval shaped handrail.
