F. Ball looks forward to Domotex 2018

7 Dec 2017
News

The latest innovations from F. Ball and Co. Ltd. will be showcased at the 2018 Domotex exhibition in Hannover, Germany.

2018 marks the exhibition’s 30th anniversary show and this year the exhibition is planned to be biggest yet, with more exhibitors signed up than ever before.

The theme of Domotex 2018 is ‘Unique Youniverse’, focusing on the trend of product individualisation. As a perfect example of the theme, F. Ball will be showcasing their Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS adhesive; a product innovation which has been designed to meet a specific requirement of flooring contractors.

This pressure sensitive vinyl adhesive is a unique formulation and offers instant initial grab, combined with ultra-high bond strength, providing contractors with the familiar reassurance of high initial tack and, when fully cured, it develops the strength to hold vinyl sheets and tiles securely in place across a huge range of temperatures. The water-based adhesive has been specifically developed for use in conditions, which are subject to extreme temperature fluctuations as low as -20°C and up to +60°C, such as conservatories or heavily glazed areas and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating systems.

Following extensive testing, the temperature tolerant, pressure sensitive adhesive has now been approved for use with flooring accessories typically applied to vertical surfaces, such as skirting, coving and capping, offering an alternative to traditional contact adhesives.

As a result of this extra feature, F. Ball have introduced a new ‘Handy Pack’ version of Styccobond F49 which features both components of the adhesive contained in a plastic pouch, separated by a secure, but easily removable clip. Once the clip is removed the adhesive can be easily mixed before the pouch is opened. This 500g pack is sufficient to install up to 30 linear metres of skirting, coving or capping and is designed to be user friendly and minimise waste.

Richard Harris, Marketing Manager at F. Ball said: “We’re looking forward to returning to Domotex to showcase our products to a world-wide audience, whilst meeting some of our international customers. F. Ball sales and marketing personnel will be on hand at the exhibition to answer any visitor questions or to discuss our latest product developments.”
