A consortium of experts, headed by design and build contractor, Mace, was charged with delivering the Emirates Air Line within a tight schedule.
Over 1,000m² of our high performance Thermataper TT47 insulation was supplied for the project to form part of the terminal roofs.
The system was fitted in thicknesses between 65 and 165 mm to provide an intrinsic roof fall, which eliminated the need for structural falls in the design and prevented water-ponding.
With excellent U-values as low as 0.25 W/m²K, the system formed an important part of the project’s energy saving performance.
The product helped to achieve the clean lines required, which manages to be simultaneously ultra-modern and retro in character.
