Kingspan Insulation has introduced its new website, placing a world of in-depth insulation knowledge at the fingertips of specifiers. The clean, easily navigable site provides detailed information on Kingspan’s comprehensive product range and features a free online education centre: Kingspan Insight. Here users can choose from a range of interactive multi-unit courses, covering key industry topics, and earn points towards their CPD.
Kingspan Insight can be accessed at www.kingspaninsulation.co.uk/insight. It launches with three courses covering Building Regulations and Standards, tapered roofing design and the impact of insulation specifications on the long-term rental value of properties. The courses are broken down into short modules presented through videos, articles and quizzes. Registered users’ progress is automatically saved from module-to-module, allowing them to quickly pick up where they left off on any computer, tablet or mobile device. The modules have a clear estimated time and are short enough to allow them to be completed during a lunch break or in the morning commute. Registered users will receive a certificate on successful completion of the course.
These multi-unit courses are just part of the greatly expanded and enhanced knowledge base. The section will feature regular technical articles and advice pieces covering key issues within the industry — as well as a number of five-minute courses on a variety of topics, from explaining terms such as R-values, to showing how products such as vacuum insulation panels are manufactured.
The wider site has also been completely redesigned, making it simpler to identify the best product for each application. Key product information such as facings, thermal conductivity and BRE Green Guide ratings are all clearly highlighted for at-a-glance reference along with links to relevant case studies, guidance documents, certifications and freely downloadable BIM objects.
