REHAU Polytec 50S is a highly efficient composite curtain walling system designed as an alternative to aluminium in the commercial sector.
Easy to fabricate and with a Uf value as low as 0.88 W/m²K, it combines high strength box steel sections with an aluminium clad exterior and a PVC interior.
REHAU Polytec 50S has just achieved Centre of Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) approval, allowing it to compete head on with aluminium in the vast majority of new build applications, including those covered by the NHBC Standards Chapter 6.9.
Independently tested at Wintech Engineering in Telford to the test methods for Systemised Building Services - DD ENV-13050:2001, the system achieved excellent results for wind resistance and water penetration using the standard test methods and the dynamic aero engine assessment.
Specifiers will be able to see REHAU Polytec 50S on show at the Building Centre in REHAU’s newly redesigned ground floor exhibition space.
The company is hosting a drinks reception for architects and specifiers on Wednesday, 17 June from 5.30 – 7.30 to officially launch the new space and to mark REHAU’s 10th anniversary at the Store Street location.
Alongside REHAU Polytec 50S, REHAU’s exhibition space will also showcase the rest of the products in its commercial range including the Passivhaus certified REHAU GENEO window system, the fibre composite REHAU Nordic Design Plus window system and the popular REHAU Heritage vertical slider and REHAU TOTAL70 systems.
Visitors can assess the products for themselves and get advice from REHAU’s specialist commercial sales team.
