Building Centre joins built environment coalition for COP26

8 Jun 2021
News

The Building Centre is proud to join a coalition of almost 100 organisations to ensure the importance of the built environment in the Race To Zero is recognised at COP26.

We believe the UKGBC led coalition promotes the important message that, as an industry responsible for 40% of the UK's total carbon emissions, we should be working together as one in our fight against climate change.

The Building Centre is supporting the initiative as both a comercial partner and delivery partner of the Built Environment Virtual Pavilion, which is set to open in November 2021. The Virtual Pavilion will comprise of a VR exhibition that showcases sustainable projects and places from around the world, as well as a major series of events and downloadable content. Find out more by reading the UKGBC press release here.

The project complements our public programme and wider mission to support people to build a better world, by raising awareness and providing knowledge as to how we can design and use materials to create more sustainable built environments.
