Comfort & style from townscape at North Middlesex Hospital

News
TOWNSCAPE PRODUCTS LIMITED, one of the UK’s leading street furniture manufacturers, has recently completed a major contract for the North Middlesex University Hospital as part of their new development, which opened in June.

Townscape developed an extensive range of external furniture to enhance the landscaped areas around the hospital. This included stainless steel seats from its Wessex range. These comfortable eye-catching seats with supportive armrests have a unique profile. Top edges with a tubular steel section give each seat a smooth line. The seat ends are plasma cut with substantial supporting members for the heavy duty FSC Iroko timber slats. Each leg features the distinctive Wessex grooves, enhancing the overall design.

Townscape also provided a matching range of stainless steel bins, bollards and tree guards and a comprehensive range of cycle storage facilities will follow later this year.

In addition, in the hospital courtyard, heavy duty wall-mounted FSC sapele timber benches co-ordinate with large Wessex timber planters creating a quiet peaceful area for patients and visitors.

The new hospital development houses new A & E services, diagnostics, operating theatres and endoscopy and was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. Townscape worked closely throughout with project architect, Gillespies and the Bougyues Consortium, which built and co-funded the £118m development under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI).

Townscape’s wide range of street furniture and paving, can be seen in its comprehensive new product catalogue as well as on its extensive website – www.townscape24.com. It is easy to navigate and enables customers to source products quickly, order and pay directly. Alternatively, experienced sales staff are on the end of the phone to advise on products, materials and manufacturing. Townscape’s manufacturing flexibility means it also offers bespoke designs and can adapt its own products to suit any specifier’s requirement.
