Colman’s custom built louvres are providing discreet but functional weatherproof protection for two buildings, S.i.One (17,900ft²) and S.i.Two (21,000ft²) that form part of a £10million prestigious office project by Endurance Estates.
Designed by architects Barber Casanovas Ruffles Ltd the St Ives Business Park is located along the strategically planned ‘hi-tech’ corridor that links Cambridge and Peterborough. The 150,000ft² mixed use business park situated on a lakeside setting comprises two headquarters style buildings built to the highest specifications with a BREEAM environmental rating
Colman’s ‘W’ series of external louvres were used providing a total of 377metres of louvres. Three banks of louvres were used for the roof top plant room and a further two banks of extract louvres were supplied for use at ground level for the loading bays.
The Colman ‘W’ series can be integrated within new or old building concepts, cladding systems, brick or stonework. Different blade profiles and blade pitches are available to meet individual customers’ needs. Special features include anti-water cascade traps, visible or discreet framing, bird mesh, insect guards and door units.
Colman offers a comprehensive design and installation service, to ensure that its louvres are carefully selected, designed and installed for optimum performance.
Colour finishes to both RAL and BS ranges are available. The main contractor for the build was RG Carter Cambridge Ltd.
