Aggregate Industries, a leading player in the construction and infrastructure industries, headquartered in Bardon Hill, Leicestershire, is one of the first companies to sign up to a new sector wide initiative to promote a culture of Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR).
The FIR programme is a cross-client, cross-contractors, cross-industry programme championing equality and diversity, creating high quality resources whilst training and empowering colleagues to make a real change.
The programme is being delivered by the Supply Chain Sustainability School and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA), with funding and support from the Construction Industry Training board (CITB). In addition to Aggregate Industries, more than 35 other organisations have already signed up, including Network Rail, Balfour Beatty and GRAHAM Construction.
