Affinity255 flooring creates a bold design at Nottingham Girls’ High School

27 Mar 2017
Case study

Affinity255 PUR luxury vinyl tiles from Polyflor, the UK's commercial vinyl flooring specialist, were recently used to create a simple yet stunning floor design for a refurbished common room area at Nottingham Girls’ High School.

The contrasting Champagne Oak and Jet Black Ash wood effect designs from the Affinity255 LVT collection were installed by local flooring contractors Slack & Co Floorcoverings Ltd at the independent school for girls near Nottingham city centre. A large square was created using the Jet Black Ash shade in the centre of the floor to contrast against the common room’s white furniture.

Jeremy Dunn, Director of Finance and Operations at Nottingham Girls’ High School commented, “We are really impressed with the design and performance of Polyflor’s Affinity255 flooring and the effect it has helped us create in our vibrant refurbished common room.”

The Affinity255 range of heavy commercial luxury vinyl tiles is ideal for busy areas in education environments where a high level of foot traffic is expected. Available in 16 contemporary and traditional wood effect designs in a single wide plank format, Affinity255 tiles have a 2mm gauge which means that they can be easily installed alongside other 2mm gauge flooring products such as Polyflor’s homogeneous, heterogeneous and safety flooring ranges.

The Affinity255 collection also features a cross linked and UV cured polyurethane reinforcement (PUR) which protects the floor and allows for a simple cleaning regime, making it ideal for break out areas where food and drink is consumed.

Polyflor’s Affinity255 range has impressive environmental credentials, achieving a BRE A+ rating in major use areas and Indoor Air Comfort Gold, assuring that VOC emissions are below any globally determined levels.  Affinity255 is also 100% recyclable via the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme and contains an average of 40% recycled content.

Samples of the Affinity255 collection can be ordered free of charge on the Polyflor website or by calling the Polyflor Samples Direct Hotline on 0161 767 2551.

Polyflor has recently launched a brand new education brochure which shows how high performance and high design vinyl flooring can help to create inspirational and practical education facilities from pre-school to higher education environments.
