111 hours in the making: Victoria Underground, 1:25 model

This detailed model by Amalgam Modelmaking for Weston Williamson shows a cross-section for a proposal for the Victoria Underground station. Traditional techniques combine with CAD to lasercut some of the parts. A high level of detail was required to show elements such as the cables running to security cameras and the dot matrix signage. Considerable time was spent reproducing the specific colours and textures found in the station, such as the bumps and grooves along the platform edge.

The model is laser-cut acrylic and spray painted with plastic fabricated enclosure and printed graphics.
