Olsen Doors & Windows have supplied fenestration to a London first, a co-housing project by Henley Halebrown Rorrison. The 6 dwelling project, built on a piece of land surrounded by Victorian terraces, uses a range of Olsen products to achieve light spaces and views of the intricate courtyards.
A range of different doors & windows, all made from engineered timber, are used right the way through the project. Natre lift & slide doors are used throughout for access as well as windows, also used are H Timber outward opening windows, Panel Entrance doors and Sunflex SF75h folding sliding doors.
The timber door & window frames are all stained in the same “Walnut” colour giving uniformity between the buildings and a slight contrast to the untreated, vertical cladding of the building. The Panel Entrance door leaves are however painted to RAL 1019 Grey Beige, which gives contrast to the rest of the products and defines them as the primary entrance to the houses.
The project has only been completed for a month but it has already claimed a runner up placing in the New London Awards 2014.
