The Built Environment Trust’s mission is to explore and debate the social impact our surroundings have on people and communities. We do this through public programming, exhibitions and special school and community projects.
We are an independent charity best known for the Building Centre, a dynamic hub which brings together designers, product manufacturers and the public in the centre of London, established in 1931.
The Built Environment Trust has created these resources specifically for teachers to explore the connectivity and belonging of children to their built environment. Each resource has suggested instructions on best usuage.
A brand-new podcast aimed at bringing together practitioners and creatives working with children and young people to inspire them to make the built environment more inclusive, diverse, and attractive for everyone.
Our schools programme targets Primary schools through hands-on workshops in schools and onsite at the Building Centre as well as providing resources to inspire teaching in the classroom.
