Our mission is to inspire, connect and empower people to improve the quality of our built environment. We recognise that the built environment shapes lives and communities and we are committed to involving all members of society as knowledgeable and active voices in determining how we construct our future.

Every year the Building Centre showcases an array of programmes for the architecture, construction and building industries. 

The Building Centre started life as a building materials bureau at the Architectural Association in 1931, but 158 New Bond Street became the Building Centre’s first home, where it opened its doors to the public on Wednesday 7 September 1932

We have a range of options available to building product manufacturers looking to get their products in front of professional specifiers, whether physically or digitally.

The café is a place where everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy delicious food, freshly prepared on-site by our café and small-event catering partners, The Lower 5th.

The Building Centre is open to the public five days a week and all exhibitions are free to enter.
